With nearly a hundred visitors per day, a total of 3,755 people over six weeks, the exhibition dedicated to Athletissima’s 50 editions was a resounding success. Athletissima warmly thanks the City of Lausanne for generously making the Forum space at the Hôtel de Ville available.
The exhibition exceeded expectations, showing not only how deeply the public is attached to the meeting, but also their fondness for a touch of nostalgia. Films, photos, texts, and testimonies retracing Athletissima’s journey since 1977 brought back many emotions and countless memories tied to the great champions of yesterday and today.
The magic of the meeting was also beautifully captured in the 52-minute documentary Odyssey by filmmaker and former athlete Serge-Alain Simasotchi (Nuance Films). For those who haven’t seen it yet, it is available here: https://athletissima.ch/regardez-odyssey/. A sensitive, insightful, and inspiring film!
